FED: G-G denies categorically he covered up sexual abuse cases
Governor-General PETER HOLLINGWORTH has categorically denied new allegations he coveredup sexual abuse cases while he was Archbishop of Brisbane.
His denial was made to ABC TV when they re-interviewed him today for the AustralianStory program.
An extended version of the program will be aired tomorrow night.
In a statement issued tonight an ABC spokeswoman says the Governor-General deniesthe allegations broadcast on Channel Nine and also those which were in The Sydney MorningHerald on Saturday.
The ABC statement says the Governor-General insists he will not be resigning.
The bulk of the program recorded before the latest allegations will feature Dr HOLLINGWORTH,his daughter DEBORAH and wife, ANN, who say the scandal has harshly affected the family.
